One of the greatest gifts you can get is something you wouldn’t buy for yourself!  And let’s face it with all the things we doing day to day- who has time to go out and by themselves a nice casserole dish?  Sure, you might stumble upon one- but if you have a woman in your life that hasn’t had time to do that I think this is a great gift idea.

Gift for 3-8 year old girl

The Disney Princess Enchanting Sing-Along MP3 Boombox has gotten lots of use from my little girl!  She doesn’t care much about hooking it up to the iPhone {or other MP3 Players}, but loves singing along with the four princess songs that it comes pre-programmed with.  I can see little girls loving this up to around age 8 since they can add their own songs, carry it around and the microphone really works.

Baby Stroller

OK, I am horrible at getting stroller envy.  I’ll admit that I have had a ridiculous number of strollers in the last 10 years {since my kids are spread out}.  BUT when my 2 year old got baby stroller envy I was surprised- but understood it- ha, ha.  This stroller really is awesome!  So if you have a little girl that wants a stroller- check out the Graco Dynamo Doll Pram!

Cash Register

Looking for a great cash register for your kids?  Check out the Learning Resources Teaching Cash Register!  I think the obsession for my two year old is that you can put change in the slot and it comes back out.  That and the colors, working buttons and drawer.  We see cash registers every where we go it seems- and this is the one he ALWAYS zeros in on!

It has also been a great tool for teaching my kindergartener to count money!  This register really is a must have in a house with young children!

One Year Old Birthday: Stacking Blocks

Do you have a one year old in your life?  A one year old birthday party coming up?  Go for the Stacking Blocks!  They are made of cardboard, come with all different types of designs and can be knocked over with no one getting hurt!

My stacking blocks were given to us 9 years ago and though they have a little wear on them- they are being enjoyed by our 3rd kid as much as they were by our first!  Great for boys and girls.

Humans of New York

This book is AMAZING!  I originally stumbled upon this as a blog that had posts to Facebook… and then he put it all into this book.  He basically walks around New York City taking photos and asking people their stories.  I look forward to seeing it everyday- sometimes more than once a day!  It hit #1 on the New York Times Best Seller List.  It is a great gift for anyone that likes New York, or people or photography… Pick one up for you too!

Best Scooter: the Mini Micro

Hands down I believe this is the best scooter around! I have three kids, and we have gone through about 9 scooters in the last 6 years.  The Mini Micro scooter is amazing.  It has smooth wheels and and TWO in the front!  My 6 year old is on his second one and has asked for flame stickers to put on it for Christmas.  My two year old could not imagine life outdoors with it!

If you are looking for a scooter- trust me- this is it!  I would buy this for any child over the age of 2!
